Taking the geographical advantage of the landfill site based at the gateway to the world, SLC has promoted the Sudokwon Landfill Site as a global environmental attraction with the themes of environment, leisure, and sports.
Dream Park is an eco-friendly project to restore the nature of the completed landfill site and create an environmental theme park while maintaining the functions of landfill facilities as much as possible. The park will be not only a good resting place for local residents and citizens in the metropolitan area but also a good environmental attraction for global visitors.
Dream Park CC
A golf course was built on the landfill buried with 65 million tons of waste for about nine years (1992-2000) as part of its follow-up management measures and for local residents.
It is an eco-friendly 36-hole golf course built at the upper part of the landfill site without damaging forests.
It hosted the 2014 Incheon AG Golf Games, KLPGA Games (2016), KPGA Games (2017, 2019), and the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament (2018, 2019, 2022).
Dream Park Cultural Event
Held every spring and fall, the Dream Park Cultural Event offers visitors the opportunity to experience various cultural programs while enjoying the blooming flower fields of the wildflower garden.
Forestation projects of planting 10 million trees
With the vision of becoming one of the world's largest environmental attraction sites, SLC has been carrying out the 10-milion tree planting project. Until now, almost 5.4 million trees were planted. This green forestation project will be continued in the future as well.
Dream Park Wildflower garden
Once used as a coal ash storage site, this area has been transformed into a vast green space, offering a multi-purpose cultural space for relaxation and nature experiences. Visitors can explore diverse green spaces, including the Wildflower Garden, Evergreen Garden, and Wetland Ecology Park.
Dream Park Sports Center
Dream Park Sports Center was built for the 2014 Incheon AG swimming and water polo competitions as well as for the purpose of promoting the local economy and daily sports. Equipped with a 50m international standard swimming pool and bleachers, rooms for culture class, etc. it has been operated as a public sports facility since August 2018.
Nursery Greenhouse
We operate a system that utilizes waste heat from exhaust gases and engine cooling water, generated by a 2.4MW power plant, to provide heated water for greenhouse heating. And local residents grow lowers and trees in the greenhouse, which are later planted across Dream Park.
